Press Release: Capp Announces Candidacy


Ozark, Ark — Sarah Capp announced she is seeking the District 82 House of Representative’s Seat, currently held by Representative Bill Gossage, which includes portions of Franklin, Madison, and Crawford counties.

“Bill Gossage has been a great advocate for our district while serving in the House.  I have great respect and adoration for what he has achieved serving District 82 constituents.  I value the opportunity to continue representation for those in our district with the same conservative values that Rep. Gossage’s esteemed leadership has served us with the past few years.  There are great things happening in our State and I have the compassion and desire to further those accomplishments.”

Sarah Capp is a small business owner operating a law firm in Ozark, AR.  She is a graduate of the UALR School of Law in Little Rock.  She graduated magna cum laude from Murray State University, Bachelor of Science in Political Science.  Sarah has served as a Special Justice for the Arkansas Supreme Court and was appointed by Governor Asa Hutchison to the Arkansas Development and Finance Authority Board of Directors.  Sarah serves as the Altus Civil City Attorney, was the past President of Beta Sigma Phi, past President of Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization for the River Valley Area, a member of the Ozark Area Chamber of Commerce, the Arkansas Bar Association and was a 2013 Nominee for Small Business of the Year (Ozark Area Chamber of Commerce).  Sarah has served Arkansans as a juvenile public defender and parent counsel in dependency neglect actions for the 15th Judicial District.  Sarah’s private practice primarily focuses on children in the court systems through ad litem representation in custody and guardianship proceedings.  Sarah is a member of First United Methodist Church in Ozark.

Sarah has been married to her husband, Eric for 12 years.  They have two children together, a son, age 8 and a daughter, age 6.
